Yes, that's what I said, and that's what I mean. You and you only can make your choices. I don't believe that God can even make your choices for you, He may prompt you and encourage you along the way, but in the end it is up to you to choose what you are going to do with your life.
I have never accepted the Calvinist doctrine of predestination. For me that would rule out the freedom of choice that God gave to Adam and Eve in the garden. It was their choice, encouraged by the serpent, to eat of the fruit from the tree that God had told them not to eat. And as a result they had to live with the consequences. They had to leave the garden and live by the sweat of their brows and Eve was told she would have to endure pain in giving birth from that day forward. And thus it has been And that is the way it is with us, we make our choices and have to live with the consequences. It is just that simple. No one can force you to do anything, whether for good or evil. You make your choice whether to accept Christ and his way of life or reject it and take the low road that leads to death and destruction.
Those are the two choices that are open to everyone. No one can keep you from the choice you determine to make. It's that simple.
YOU MAKE THE CHOICE!
Life can be easy, haphazard and empty, or it can be focused, directed and full. The choices you make will make you who you choose to be.
